How it Works
Golden Record Builder is deployed directly into your Snowflake account with a user interface powered by
Snowflake Container Instances
. The application has no immediate access to data and can only view tables once explicitly granted access.
The application supports two core roles:
Viewer
– may view all data within the application
Admin
– has Viewer permissions plus the ability to configure connections
To set up a connection:
Grant
SELECT
access on the source tables containing customer information
Ensure
USAGE
permissions on the relevant databases and schemas
Set
CHANGE TRACKING = TRUE
on all source tables
Once configured, Admins select source tables from the UI. The application automatically categorises attributes, which the user confirms. The data is then processed through a model that returns probabilistic matches. Users can further refine accuracy with
deterministic matching
via the UI. Once training is complete, the model runs across the full dataset, outputting matched golden records into an
entities table
in Snowflake — ready for use in engineering and analytics workflows.
