MEDISCAN is a Snowflake Native App that automates medical record digitisation for health information teams. The data is stored in a table paired to the staged documents, ready to be routed to your eMR database for use by analytics and clinical staff.
It uses Snowflake Document AI and a customised MEDISCAN model to extract key values from referral letters, pathology and imaging reports, progress notes and discharge summaries. Each document receives an accuracy score and, where necessary, is routed through a built in review workflow before being written into a structured results table.
Because MEDISCAN runs as a Snowflake Native App, all documents, extracted fields and review activity remain in the consumer's Snowflake environment, with no external services, outbound network calls or additional infrastructure to deploy.
